The latest report from the China Society for Human Rights Studies (CSHRS), entitled “U.S. commits serious crimes of violating human rights in the Middle East and beyond,” provides a detailed assessment of the United States’ human rights record, particularly in relation to its wars and regime change operations in the Middle East.
It's not China but the "Taiwan independence" separatist forces and the United States who are changing the status quo of the Taiwan Straits, and Beijing's countermeasures against U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's visit to the island are justifiably strong, not overreacting as a "pretext" for a "new normal".

China strongly condemns and firmly opposes the United States' "Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act", said Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin in Beijing on Tuesday, adding that China will take powerful measures to protect the lawful interests of Chinese companies and citizens.
