“China has Done a Remarkable Job”

AMBASSADOR Luis Diego Monsalve Hoyos receives us in his office at a time when the battle against COVID-19 is foremost on everyone’s mind. He has contacted his fellow Colombians living in the locked-down city of Wuhan, where the coronavirus was first detected, as well as those in the rest of Hubei Province, who are fortunately all in good health. Speaking to China Today, Monsalve not only highlights the efforts carried out by China to contain the virus, but also underlines the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Colombia, celebrated on February 7. It is in difficult times like these, that one can truly see the bond between nations.
