Two-way investment between China and Belt and Road countries exceeded 270 billion U.S. dollars during the period.

In June alone, its imports and exports reached 300.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 23.96 percent, with imports amounting to 162.8 billion yuan and exports hitting 137.3 billion yuan.

The foreign trade value contributed by the province's private sector reached 194.79 billion yuan, up 43.8 percent year on year, accounting for 58.4 percent of the total.

Both exports and imports logged double-digit growth in the January-August period, surging 23.2 percent and 24.4 percent from a year earlier, respectively.

Since March 2021, Xinjiang's foreign trade volume has achieved month-on-month growth for five consecutive months, and in July, it hit a new monthly high for 2021.
