The 7th Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Hai’an Conference Opens

On 18th July, the opening ceremony of the 7th Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Hai’an conference was held in Hai’an City in Jiangsu, China. The event attracted more than 300 experts and scholars from national universities and colleges who all gathered and signed agreements to introduce 10 original achievement projects, 10 talent projects and platform cooperation projects, and 10 high-tech investment projects.

Having all been affected by the challenges brought on by the pandemic, more than 30 double first-rate universities and colleges interacted with enterprises online, and agreed to collaborate on more than 100 research projects.

In recent years, the market of Hai’an has focused on strategically positioning Hai’an as an important hub providing products for an international consumer base, with both high-tech and low-tech industries, making it a city that fosters well-being and happiness.

It has made every effort to build an integrated transportation hub in eastern Jiangsu, a Centre of Industry on the northern reaches of the Yangtze River Delta, a demonstration area for innovation-driven development in the province, and last of all a liveable city. Hai’an also strives to promote the development of cutting-edge high quality products, and comprehensive development and overall progress for the economy and society at large.

Hai’an is affiliated with the city of Nantong in Jiangsu Province and is bound with Nantong, Yancheng and Taizhou. The city has a total area of ​​1184 square kilometres and a population of 960,000. It has a national development zone, a provincial high-tech zone, a new provincial coastal zone, a provincial trade and logistics park, and a China and Italy international cooperation park. It is famous for education and culture, as well as for its equipment manufacturing, textile and silk, longevity and liveability.
