No new locally transmitted COVID-19 cases were reported Wednesday across the Chinese mainland, the National Health Commission said Thursday.

China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism on Wednesday issued a notice on COVID-19 prevention, calling on tourists to protect themselves during the upcoming National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival holiday.

The water level of the Songhua River in northeast China's Heilongjiang Province exceeded warning levels on Wednesday, causing local authorities to embargo navigation on the waterway. The water level at the Harbin hydrometric station in the provincial capital on Wednesday morning rose to 118.4 meters, 0.1 meters above the warning line.

A goldfish museum featuring various goldfish was open to the public on Wednesday. Over 3,000 goldfish of about 100 species were exhibited. 

Zhang's family was registered as an impoverished household in 2013. The Chinese mainland reported 10 new imported COVID-19 cases Tuesday, bringing the total number of imported cases to 2,758, the National Health Commission said Wednesday.

The total passenger throughput at the newly-built Beijing Daxing International Airport exceeded the 10 million mark on Tuesday after it began operation last September.
